Jeremiah 38:19-23 World English Bible (WEB)
19 Zedekiah the king said to Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews who are fallen away to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. 20 But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. Obey, I beg you, Yahweh’s voice, in that which I speak to you: so it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live. 21 But if you refuse to go out, this is the word that Yahweh has shown me: 22 behold, all the women who are left in the king of Judah’s house shall be brought out to the king of Babylon’s princes, and those women shall say, Your familiar friends have set you on, and have prevailed over you. Your feet are sunk in the mire, they have turned away back. 23 They shall bring out all your wives and your children to the Chaldeans; and you shall not escape out of their hand, but shall be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and you shall cause this city to be burned with fire.
Jeremiah 38:19-23 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19 Then King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, “I dread the Jews who have [a]gone over to the Chaldeans, for they may give me over into their hand and they will abuse me.” 20 But Jeremiah said, “They will not give you over. Please [b]obey the Lord in what I am saying to you, that it may go well with you and [c]you may live. 21 But if you keep refusing to go out, this is the word which the Lord has shown me: 22 ‘Then behold, all of the women who have been left in the palace of the king of Judah are going to be brought out to the [d]officers of the king of Babylon; and those women will say,
“[e]Your close friends
23 They will also bring out all your wives and your sons to the Chaldeans, and you yourself will not escape from their hand, but will be seized by the hand of the king of Babylon, and this city will be burned with fire.’”
