Jeremiah 10:6-10

New International Version

⁶No one is like you,^(A) Lord;
    you are great,^(B)
    and your name is mighty in power.
⁷Who should not fear^(C) you,
    King of the nations?^(D)
    This is your due.
Among all the wise leaders of the nations
    and in all their kingdoms,
    there is no one like you.

⁸They are all senseless^(E) and foolish;^(F)
    they are taught by worthless wooden idols.^(G)
⁹Hammered silver is brought from Tarshish^(H)
    and gold from Uphaz.
What the craftsman and goldsmith have made^(I)
    is then dressed in blue and purple—
    all made by skilled workers.
¹⁰But the Lord is the true God;
    he is the living God,^(J) the eternal King.^(K)
When he is angry,^(L) the earth trembles;^(M)
    the nations cannot endure his wrath.^(N)

⁶Inasmuch as there is none ^(A)like You, O Lord
(You are great, and Your name is great in might),
⁷^(B)Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?
For this is Your rightful due.
For ^(C)among all the wise men of the nations,
And in all their kingdoms,
There is none like You.
⁸But they are altogether ^(D)dull-hearted and foolish;
A wooden idol is a ^[a]worthless doctrine.
⁹Silver is beaten into plates;
It is brought from Tarshish,
And ^(E)gold from Uphaz,
The work of the craftsman
And of the hands of the metalsmith;
Blue and purple are their clothing;
They are all ^(F)the work of skillful men.
¹⁰But the Lord is the true God;
He is ^(G)the living God and the ^(H)everlasting King.
At His wrath the earth will tremble,
And the nations will not be able to endure His indignation.
