    the instruction of idols is but wood!
(E)Beaten silver is brought from (F)Tarshish,
    and gold from (G)Uphaz.
(H)They are the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith;
    their clothing is violet and purple;
    (I)they are all the work of skilled men.
10 (J)But the Lord is the true God;
    (K)he is the living God and the everlasting King.
At his wrath the earth quakes,
    and the nations cannot endure his indignation.

Who should not fear(C) you,

Among all the wise leaders of the nations

They are all senseless(E) and foolish;(F)
    they are taught by worthless wooden idols.(G)
Hammered silver is brought from Tarshish(H)

What the craftsman and goldsmith have made(I)
    is then dressed in blue and purple—
    all made by skilled workers.
10 But the Lord is the true God;

When he is angry,(L) the earth trembles;(M)
