Hebrews 3:12-15 Wycliffe Bible (WYC)

12 Brethren, see ye, lest peradventure in any of you be an evil heart of unbelief, to depart from the living God.

13 But admonish yourselves by all days, the while to day is named, that none of you be hardened by fallacy of sin [that none of you be hardened by falseness of sin].

14 For we be made partners of Christ, if nevertheless we hold the beginning of his substance firm into the end.

15 While it is said, to day, if ye have heard the voice of him, do not ye harden your hearts, as in that wrathing.

Hebrews 3:12-15 New Matthew Bible (NMB)

12 Take heed, brethren, that there be in none of you an evil heart in unbelief, that he should depart from the living God; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you grow hard-hearted through the deceitfulness of sin.

14 We are partakers of Christ if we keep sure until the end the first confidence, 15 as long as it is said: Today, if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as when you rebelled.

14 [c]For we are made partakers of Christ, if we keep sure unto the end that [d]beginning, wherewith we are upholden,

15 [e]So long as it is said, Today if ye hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Footnotes:

  1. Hebrews 3:12 Now weighing the words of David, he showeth first by this word, Today that we must not neglect the occasion while we have it: for that word is not to be restrained to David’s time, but it comprehendeth all the time wherein God calleth us.
  2. Hebrews 3:13 While today lasteth, that is to say, so long as the Gospel is offered to us.
  3. Hebrews 3:14 Now he considereth these words, If you hear his voice, etc., showing that they are spoken and meant of the hearing of faith, against which he setteth hardening through unbelief.
  4. Hebrews 3:14 That beginning of trust and confidence: and after the manner of the Hebrews, he calleth that beginning, which is chiefest.
  5. Hebrews 3:15 So long as this voice soundeth out.
