Ezekiel 44:4-8
New English Translation
4 Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. As I watched, I noticed[a] the glory of the Lord filling the Lord’s temple, and I threw myself face down. 5 The Lord said to me: “Son of man, pay attention,[b] watch closely, and listen carefully to[c] everything I tell you concerning all the statutes of the Lord’s house and all its laws. Pay attention to the entrances[d] to the temple with all the exits of the sanctuary. 6 Say to the rebellious,[e] to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Enough of all your abominable practices, O house of Israel! 7 When you bring foreigners, those uncircumcised in heart and in flesh, into my sanctuary, you desecrate[f] it—even my house—when you offer my food, the fat and the blood. You[g] have broken my covenant by all your abominable practices. 8 You have not kept charge of my holy things, but you have assigned foreigners[h] to keep charge of my sanctuary for you.

4 Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple, and I looked, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord, and I fell upon my face.(A) 5 The Lord said to me: “Mortal, mark well, look closely, and listen attentively to all that I shall tell you concerning all the ordinances of the temple of the Lord and all its laws, and mark well the entrances[a] to the temple and all the exits of the sanctuary.(B) 6 Say to the rebellious house,[b] to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: O house of Israel, let there be an end to all your abominations(C) 7 in admitting foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and flesh, to be in my sanctuary, profaning my temple when you offer to me my food, the fat and the blood. You[c] have broken my covenant with all your abominations.(D) 8 And you have not kept charge of my sacred offerings, but you have appointed foreigners[d] to act for you in keeping my charge in my sanctuary.
