Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple. As I watched, I noticed[a] the glory of the Lord filling the Lord’s temple, and I threw myself face down. The Lord said to me: “Son of man, pay attention,[b] watch closely, and listen carefully to[c] everything I tell you concerning all the statutes of the Lord’s house and all its laws. Pay attention to the entrances[d] to the temple with all the exits of the sanctuary. Say to the rebellious,[e] to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Enough of all your abominable practices, O house of Israel! When you bring foreigners, those uncircumcised in heart and in flesh, into my sanctuary, you desecrate[f] it—even my house—when you offer my food, the fat and the blood. You[g] have broken my covenant by all your abominable practices. You have not kept charge of my holy things, but you have assigned foreigners[h] to keep charge of my sanctuary for you.

Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple, and I looked, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord, and I fell upon my face.(A) The Lord said to me: “Mortal, mark well, look closely, and listen attentively to all that I shall tell you concerning all the ordinances of the temple of the Lord and all its laws, and mark well the entrances[a] to the temple and all the exits of the sanctuary.(B) Say to the rebellious house,[b] to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord God: O house of Israel, let there be an end to all your abominations(C) in admitting foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and flesh, to be in my sanctuary, profaning my temple when you offer to me my food, the fat and the blood. You[c] have broken my covenant with all your abominations.(D) And you have not kept charge of my sacred offerings, but you have appointed foreigners[d] to act for you in keeping my charge in my sanctuary.
