Reign and Captivity of Jehoiakim
5 Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord his God.(A) 6 Against him King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came up and bound him with fetters to take him to Babylon.(B) 7 Nebuchadnezzar also carried some of the vessels of the house of the Lord to Babylon and put them in his palace in Babylon.(C) 8 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim and the abominations that he did and what was found against him are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah, and his son Jehoiachin succeeded him.(D)

5 Jehoiakim was 25 years old when he became king and reigned 11 years in Jerusalem. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord his God.(A) 6 Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon attacked him(B) and bound him in bronze(C) shackles to take him to Babylon.(D) 7 Also Nebuchadnezzar took some of the utensils of the Lord’s temple to Babylon and put them in his temple in Babylon.(E)
8 The rest of the deeds of Jehoiakim,(F) the detestable things he did, and what was found against him, are written in the Book of Israel’s Kings. His son Jehoiachin became king in his place.
