^34 (A)It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and ^[a]putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert.

³⁷ What I say to you I say to all: ‘^(A)Stay alert!’”

Bear One Another’s Burdens

6 ^(A)Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are ^(B)spiritual are to ^(C)restore such a person ^(D)in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.

¹¹ Therefore, ^[a]encourage one another and ^(A)build one another up, just as you also are doing.

^3 (A)Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our ^(B)common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you ^(C)contend earnestly for ^(D)the faith that was once for all time ^(E)handed down to ^(F)the ^[a]saints.

²⁰ But you, ^(A)beloved, ^(B)building yourselves up on your most holy ^(C)faith, ^(D)praying in the Holy Spirit,

³⁴ For you ^(A)showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted ^(B)joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves ^(C)a better and lasting possession. ³⁵ Therefore, do not throw away your ^(D)confidence, which has a great ^(E)reward.

¹⁵ See to it that no one ^(A)comes short of the grace of God; that no ^(B)root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many become ^(C)defiled;
