35 Who can separate us from the love of Christ?
Can affliction(A) or anguish or persecution(B)
or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
36 As it is written:
Because of You
we are being put to death all day long;(C)
we are counted as sheep to be slaughtered.(D)[a]
37 No, in all these things we are more than victorious(E)
through Him who loved us.(F)
38 For I am persuaded that not even death or life,(G)
angels or rulers,(H)
things present or things to come,(I) hostile powers,
39 height or depth, or any other created thing
will have the power to separate us
from the love of God(J) that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!(K)

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?(A) Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?(B) 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
    we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a](C)

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors(D) through him who loved us.(E) 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future,(F) nor any powers,(G) 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God(H) that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(I)
