² And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for ^(A)an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away ^(B)the stone and sat upon it. ³ And ^(C)his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. ⁴ The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. ⁵ The angel said to the women, “^[a](D)Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. ⁶ He is not here, for He has risen, ^(E)just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. ⁷ Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you ^(F)into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”

^5 (A)Entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robe; and they ^(B)were amazed. ⁶ And he *said to them, “^(C)Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the ^(D)Nazarene, who has been crucified. ^(E)He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him. ⁷ But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘^(F)He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.’”

⁶ He is not here, but He ^(A)has ^[a]risen. Remember how He spoke to you ^(B)while He was still in Galilee, ⁷ saying that ^(C)the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”

³⁸ And He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your ^[a]hearts? ^39 (A)See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; ^(B)touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” ⁴⁰ And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

³ For ^(A)I delivered to you ^[a]as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died ^(B)for our sins ^(C)according to the Scriptures, ⁴ and that He was buried, and that He was ^(D)raised on the third day ^(E)according to the Scriptures, ⁵ and that ^(F)He appeared to ^(G)Cephas, then ^(H)to the twelve. ⁶ After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some ^(I)have fallen asleep; ⁷ then He appeared to ^[b](J)James, then to ^(K)all the apostles; ⁸ and last of all, as ^[c]to one untimely born, ^(L)He appeared to me also. ⁹ For I am ^(M)the least of the apostles, ^[d]and not fit to be called an apostle, because I ^(N)persecuted the church of God.
