²¹ The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, ^(A)‘Let us go at once ^(B)to entreat the favour of the Lord and to seek the Lord of hosts; I myself am going.’ ^22 (C)Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and ^(D)to entreat the favour of the Lord.

¹² I said, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the favour of the Lord.’ So I forced myself, and offered the burnt offering.”

⁹ And now ^(A)entreat the favour of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, ^(B)will he show favour to any of you? says the Lord of hosts.
