⁵ Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, ^(A)“Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

¹³ He said to me, ^(A)“Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”

¹² Now ^(A)we have received not ^(B)the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. ¹³ And we impart this ^(C)in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, ^(D)interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.^[a]

¹⁴ The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are ^(E)folly to him, and ^(F)he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ The ^(G)spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.

^13 (A)And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?

⁹ Then I said, ‘What are these, my lord?’ ^(A)The angel who talked with me said to me, ‘I will show you what they are.’

³⁰ But ^(A)as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that ^(B)you may know the thoughts of your mind.

¹⁶ Joseph answered Pharaoh, ^(A)“It is not in me; ^(B)God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”^[a]
