¹³ And ^(A)on that day a great panic from the Lord shall fall on them, so that ^(B)each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of the one will be raised against the hand of the other.

^4 (A)On that day, declares the Lord, ^(B)I will strike every horse ^(C)with panic, and its rider ^(D)with madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples ^(E)with blindness.

¹² And ^(A)the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings ^(B)for one hour, together with the beast. ¹³ These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast. ¹⁴ They ^(C)will make war on the Lamb, and ^(D)the Lamb will conquer them, for he is ^(E)Lord of lords and ^(F)King of kings, and those with him are ^(G)called and chosen and faithful.”

¹⁵ And the angel^[a] said to me, ^(H)“The waters that you saw, where the prostitute is seated, are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages. ¹⁶ And ^(I)the ten horns that you saw, they and the beast ^(J)will hate the prostitute. They will make her ^(K)desolate and ^(L)naked, and ^(M)devour her flesh and ^(N)burn her up with fire, ¹⁷ for ^(O)God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by being of one mind and ^(P)handing over their royal power to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.

⁶ For ^(A)I will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of this land, declares the Lord. Behold, I will cause each of them to fall into the hand of his neighbor, and each into the hand of his king, and they shall crush the land, and I will deliver none from their hand.”

^21 (A)I will summon a sword against Gog^[a] on all my mountains, declares the Lord God. ^(B)Every man's sword will be against his brother.

²² And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ^(A)an ambush against the men of ^(B)Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed. ²³ For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, ^(C)they all helped to destroy one another.

The Lord Delivers Judah

²⁴ When Judah came to the watchtower of the wilderness, they looked toward the horde, and behold, there^[a] were dead bodies lying on the ground; none had escaped.

¹⁵ And there was a panic in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. The garrison and even ^(A)the raiders trembled, the earth quaked, and it became a very great panic.^[a]

¹⁶ And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked, and behold, the multitude ^(B)was dispersing here and there.^{[b] 17} Then Saul said to the people who were with him, “Count and see who has gone from us.” And when they had counted, behold, Jonathan and his armor-bearer were not there. ¹⁸ So Saul said to Ahijah, “Bring the ark of God here.” For the ark of God went at that time with the people^[c] of Israel. ¹⁹ Now ^(C)while Saul was talking to the priest, the tumult in the camp of the Philistines increased more and more. So Saul said to the priest, “Withdraw your hand.” ²⁰ Then Saul and all the people who were with him rallied and went into the battle. And behold, ^(D)every Philistine's sword was against his fellow, and there was very great confusion. ²¹ Now the Hebrews who had been with the Philistines before that time and who had gone up with them into the camp, ^(E)even they also turned to be with the Israelites who were with Saul and Jonathan. ²² Likewise, when all the men of Israel ^(F)who had hidden themselves ^(G)in the hill country of Ephraim heard that the Philistines were fleeing, they too followed hard after them in the battle. ^23 (H)So the Lord saved Israel that day. And the battle passed beyond ^(I)Beth-aven.

^22 (A)When they blew the 300 trumpets, ^(B)the Lord set ^(C)every man's sword against his comrade and against all the army. And the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah,^[a] as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath.
