¹³ Make every effort to send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way, and see that they lack nothing.

Ministry of Apollos

²⁴ Now there came to Ephesus a Jew named Apollos from Alexandria. He was an eloquent man, well-versed in the scriptures.^(A)

³⁵ and one of them, an expert in the law, asked him a question to test him.^(A)

⁶ they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on in a manner worthy of God,^{(A) 7} for they began their journey for the sake of Christ,^[a] accepting no support from nonbelievers.^{[b](B) 8} Therefore we ought to support such people, so that we may become coworkers with the truth.

¹¹ therefore let no one despise him. Send him on his way in peace, so that he may come to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers and sisters.^(A)

²⁴ when I go to Spain. For I do hope to see you on my journey and to be sent on by you, once I have enjoyed your company for a little while.

¹⁰ They bestowed many honors on us, and when we were about to sail, they put on board all the provisions we needed.

⁵ When our days there were ended, we left and proceeded on our journey, and all of them, with wives and children, escorted us outside the city. There we knelt down on the beach and prayed^(A)

³ And Jesus asked the experts in the law and Pharisees, “Is it lawful to cure people on the Sabbath or not?”^(A)

⁵² Woe to you experts in the law! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.”^(A)
