3 Remind them ^(A)to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, ^(B)to be ready for every good work, ²to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. ³For ^(C)we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

³At one time^(D) we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.
