¹⁷ And the Spirit and ^(A)the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” ^(B)And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for ^(A)the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” ⁸ And ^(B)to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, ^(C)for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

⁹ Then he said to me, “Write: ^(D)‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, ^(E)“These are the true sayings of God.”

² For I am ^(A)jealous for you with godly jealousy. For ^(B)I have betrothed you to one husband, ^(C)that I may present you ^(D)as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Matthew the Tax Collector^(A)

^9 (B)As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him.

¹⁹ Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and ^(A)I will make you fishers of men.” ^20 (B)They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

^21 (C)Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, ²² and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.
