^24 (A)and are justified ^(B)by his grace as a gift, ^(C)through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, ²⁵ whom God ^(D)put forward as ^(E)a propitiation ^(F)by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in ^(G)his divine forbearance he had passed over ^(H)former sins. ²⁶ It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

³⁰ And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also ^(A)justified, and those whom he justified he also ^(B)glorified.

God's Everlasting Love

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? ^(C)If God is for us, who can be^[a] against us? ^32 (D)He who did not spare his own Son but ^(E)gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

⁵ And to the one who does not work but ^(A)believes in^[a] him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, ⁶ just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:

^7 (A)In him we have ^(B)redemption ^(C)through his blood, ^(D)the forgiveness of our trespasses, ^(E)according to the riches of his grace,

³⁰ And because of him^[a] you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us ^(A)wisdom from God, ^(B)righteousness and ^(C)sanctification and ^(D)redemption, ³¹ so that, as it is written, ^(E)“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

¹⁷ For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness ^(A)reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ Therefore, as one trespass^[a] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness^[b] leads to justification and life for ^(B)all men. ¹⁹ For as by the one man's ^(C)disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's ^(D)obedience the many will be made righteous.

⁸ Indeed, I count everything as loss because of ^(A)the surpassing worth of ^(B)knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I ^(C)have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ ⁹ and be found in him, not having ^(D)a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but ^(E)that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—

⁸ For ^(A)by grace you have been saved ^(B)through faith. And this is ^(C)not your own doing; ^(D)it is the gift of God, ^9 (E)not a result of works, ^(F)so that no one may boast. ¹⁰ For ^(G)we are his workmanship, ^(H)created in Christ Jesus ^(I)for good works, ^(J)which God prepared beforehand, ^(K)that we should walk in them.

¹² But to all who did receive him, ^(A)who believed in his name, ^(B)he gave the right ^(C)to become ^(D)children of God,
