⁹ knowing that ^(A)Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.

^18 (A)I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, ^(B)I am alive forevermore. Amen. And ^(C)I have the keys of ^[a]Hades and of Death.

¹⁴ For ^(A)sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

^24 (A)whom God raised up, having ^[a]loosed the ^[b]pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it. ²⁵ For David says concerning Him:

^12 (A)But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down ^(B)at the right hand of God, ¹³ from that time waiting ^(C)till His enemies are made His footstool.

²⁵ Therefore He is also ^(A)able to save ^[a]to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives ^(B)to make intercession for them.

¹⁴ Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He ^(A)Himself likewise shared in the same, ^(B)that through death He might destroy him who had the power of ^(C)death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and release those who ^(D)through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

¹⁴ Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, ^(A)who is a type of Him who was to come.
