Please Others, Not Yourselves

15 We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.^(A)

¹⁴ And we urge you, brothers and sisters, to admonish the idlers, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all of them.^(A)

Do Not Judge Another

14 Welcome those who are weak in faith^[a] but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.^(A)

Bear One Another’s Burdens

6 My brothers and sisters, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted. ² Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill^[a] the law of Christ.^(A)

²² To the weak I became weak, so that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some.

²² On the contrary, the members of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, ²³ and those members of the body that we think less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our less respectable members are treated with greater respect, ²⁴ whereas our more respectable members do not need this. But God has so arranged the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior member,

A Good Soldier of Christ Jesus

2 You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus,

²⁰ No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God,

The Whole Armor of God

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power;
