13 (A)“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food”—and God will destroy both one (B)and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but (C)for the Lord, and (D)the Lord for the body. 14 And (E)God raised the Lord and (F)will also raise us up (G)by his power. 15 Do you not know that (H)your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined[a] to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, (I)“The two will become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord (J)becomes one spirit with him. 18 (K)Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin[b] a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person (L)sins against his own body. 19 Or (M)do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? (N)You are not your own, 20 (O)for you were bought with a price. (P)So glorify God in your body.

But when (A)the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, (B)not because of works done by us in righteousness, but (C)according to his own mercy, by (D)the washing of regeneration and (E)renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he (F)poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that (G)being justified by his grace we might become (H)heirs (I)according to the hope of eternal life. The saying is (J)trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful (K)to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

Christ's Example of Humility
