9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language,(A) standing before the throne(B) and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes(C) and were holding palm branches in their hands.

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes(A) and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.(B) 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God(C)
and serve him(D) day and night in his temple;(E)
and he who sits on the throne(F)
will shelter them with his presence.(G)
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst.(H)
The sun will not beat down on them,’[a]
nor any scorching heat.(I)
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
will be their shepherd;(J)
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’[b](K)
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’[c]”(L)
