5 A voice came from the throne, saying,
Praise our God,
all his servants, and the ones who fear him,
both small and great!(A)
6 Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters,(B) and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying,
Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty,
reigns!(C)
7 Let us be glad, rejoice, and give him glory,(D)
because the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has prepared herself.(E)
8 She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure.(F)
For the fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints.(G)
9 Then he[a] said to me,(H) “Write: Blessed are those invited to the marriage feast(I) of the Lamb!” He also said to me, “These words of God are true.”(J)

6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,(C) like the roar of rushing waters(D) and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
“Hallelujah!(E)
For our Lord God Almighty(F) reigns.(G)
7 Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!(H)
For the wedding of the Lamb(I) has come,
and his bride(J) has made herself ready.
8 Fine linen,(K) bright and clean,
was given her to wear.”
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts(L) of God’s holy people.)
9 Then the angel said to me,(M) “Write this:(N) Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”(O) And he added, “These are the true words of God.”(P)
