10 (A)They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,
“Alas! Alas! (B)You great city, you mighty city, Babylon!For (C)in a single hour your judgment has come.”
10 Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off(A) and cry:
“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,(B) you mighty city of Babylon!In one hour(C) your doom has come!’
17 For (A)in a single hour all this wealth (B)has been laid waste.”
And (C)all shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off
17 In one hour(A) such great wealth has been brought to ruin!’(B)
“Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea,(C) will stand far off.(D)
19 And they threw (A)dust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out,
“Alas, alas, for the great city (B)where all who had ships at sea grew rich by her wealth!For (C)in a single hour she has been laid waste.
19 They will throw dust on their heads,(A) and with weeping and mourning(B) cry out:
“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,(C) where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth!In one hour she has been brought to ruin!’(D)
