³ Nothing accursed will be found there any more. But the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him;^(A)

³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

¹⁶ What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we^[a] are the temple of the living God, as God said,

⁵ Then the Lord will create over the whole site of Mount Zion and over its places of assembly a cloud by day and smoke and the shining of a flaming fire by night. Indeed, over all the glory there will be a canopy.^{(A) 6} It will serve as a pavilion, a shade by day from the heat and a refuge and a shelter from the storm and rain.^(B)

²⁵ For David said, “The Lord, the God of Israel, has given rest to his people, and he resides in Jerusalem forever.^(A)

² looking to Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith, who for the sake of^[a] the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.^(A)

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son,^[a] full of grace and truth.^(A)

⁵ And there will be no more night; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.^(A)
