7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind could blow on earth or sea or against any tree.^(A)

³¹ And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.^(A)

³⁶ and I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and I will scatter them to all these winds, and there shall be no nation to which the exiles from Elam shall not come.^(A)

² I,^[a] Daniel, saw in my vision by night the four winds of heaven stirring up the great sea,

²⁷ Then he will send out the angels and gather the^[a] elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.

⁸ Then the male goat grew exceedingly great, but at the height of its power the great horn was broken, and in its place there came up four prominent horns toward the four winds of heaven.^(A)

² You, O mortal, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel:

⁹ Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, mortal, and say to the breath:^[a] Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath,^[b] and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.”^(A)

¹⁴ saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great River Euphrates.”^(A)
