²³ and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he ^(A)who searches mind and heart, and ^(B)I will give to each of you according to your works.

²⁷ And ^(A)he who searches hearts knows what is ^(B)the mind of the Spirit, because^[a] the Spirit ^(C)intercedes for the saints ^(D)according to the will of God.

^27 (A)For the Son of Man is going to come with ^(B)his angels in the glory of his Father, and ^(C)then he will repay each person according to what he has done.

²⁴ And ^(A)they prayed and said, “You, Lord, ^(B)who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen

¹⁷ And if you ^(A)call on him as Father who ^(B)judges ^(C)impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves ^(D)with fear throughout the time of your exile,

⁵ But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are ^(A)storing up ^(B)wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

^6 (C)He will render to each one according to his works: ⁷ to those who ^(D)by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; ⁸ but for those who are self-seeking^[a] and ^(E)do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. ⁹ There will be tribulation and distress ^(F)for every human being who does evil, the Jew ^(G)first and also the Greek, ¹⁰ but glory and honor and ^(H)peace for everyone who does good, ^(I)the Jew first and also the Greek. ¹¹ For ^(J)God shows no partiality.

²⁴ But Jesus ^(A)on his part did not entrust himself to them, because ^(B)he knew all people ²⁵ and needed no one to bear witness about man, for ^(C)he himself knew what was in man.
