To the Church in Ephesus

2 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of ^(A)him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, ^(B)who walks among the seven golden lampstands.

^16 (A)In his right hand he held seven stars, ^(B)from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and ^(C)his face was like the sun shining ^(D)in full strength.

²⁰ As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and ^(A)the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and ^(B)the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

To the Church in Sardis

3 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him ^(A)who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.

“‘I know your works. You have the reputation ^(B)of being alive, ^(C)but you are dead.

¹¹ saying, ^(A)“Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

¹² Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw ^(B)seven golden lampstands, ¹³ and in the midst of the lampstands ^(C)one like ^(D)a son of man, ^(E)clothed with a long robe and ^(F)with a golden sash around his chest.

To the Church in Laodicea

¹⁴ “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the ^(A)Amen, ^(B)the faithful and true witness, ^(C)the beginning of God's creation.

To the Church in Philadelphia

⁷ “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of ^(A)the holy one, ^(B)the true one, ^(C)who has the key of David, ^(D)who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.

To the Church in Thyatira

¹⁸ “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ‘The words of the Son of God, ^(A)who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.

To the Church in Pergamum

¹² “And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: ‘The words of him who has ^(A)the sharp two-edged sword.
