    who corrupted the earth by her adulteries.
He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”^(C)

⁴³ Rejoice,^(A) you nations, with his people,^[a][b]
    for he will avenge the blood of his servants;^(B)
he will take vengeance on his enemies^(C)
    and make atonement for his land and people.^(D)

²⁰ “Rejoice over her, you heavens!^(A)
    Rejoice, you people of God!
    Rejoice, apostles and prophets!
For God has judged her
    with the judgment she imposed on you.”^(B)

³⁵ It is mine to avenge;^(A) I will repay.^(B)
    In due time their foot will slip;^(C)
their day of disaster is near
    and their doom rushes upon them.^(D)”

³ For all the nations have drunk
    the maddening wine of her adulteries.^(A)
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,^(B)
    and the merchants of the earth grew rich^(C) from her excessive luxuries.”^(D)

“You are just in these judgments,^(A) O Holy One,^(B)
    you who are and who were;^(C)
6 for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets,^(D)
    and you have given them blood to drink^(E) as they deserve.”

“Yes, Lord God Almighty,^(G)
    true and just are your judgments.”^(H)

“Great and marvelous are your deeds,^(D)
    Lord God Almighty.^(E)
Just and true are your ways,^(F)
    King of the nations.^[a]
