Satan Thrown Down to Earth

⁷ Now war arose in heaven, ^(A)Michael and ^(B)his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back,

⁹ But when ^(A)the archangel ^(B)Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing ^(C)about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, ^(D)“The Lord rebuke you.”

⁴ For if God did not spare ^(A)angels when they sinned, but ^(B)cast them into hell^[a] and committed them to chains^[b] of gloomy darkness ^(C)to be kept until the judgment;

The Time of the End

12 “At that time shall arise ^(A)Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And ^(B)there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, ^(C)everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.

¹² For ^(A)we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against ^(B)the rulers, against the authorities, against ^(C)the cosmic powers over ^(D)this present darkness, against ^(E)the spiritual forces of evil ^(F)in the heavenly places.

² And he seized ^(A)the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and ^(B)bound him for a thousand years,

²¹ But I will tell you ^(A)what is inscribed in the book of truth: there is none who contends by my side against these except ^(B)Michael, your prince.

^13 (A)The prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me ^(B)twenty-one days, but ^(C)Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia,

⁹ And ^(A)the great dragon was thrown down, ^(B)that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, ^(C)the deceiver of the whole world—^(D)he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
