³ And I will appoint my two witnesses,^(A) and they will prophesy for 1,260 days,^(B) clothed in sackcloth.”^(C)

⁶ The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.^(A)

² But exclude the outer court;^(A) do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles.^(B) They will trample on the holy city^(C) for 42 months.^(D)

¹⁶ But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’^[a](A)

Witnesses

¹⁵ One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.^(A)

³⁴ Then Jacob tore his clothes,^(A) put on sackcloth^(B) and mourned for his son many days.^(C)

⁵ The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies^(A) and to exercise its authority for forty-two months.^(B)

³¹ and for many days he was seen by those who had traveled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem.^(A) They are now his witnesses^(B) to our people.

¹⁵ You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead.^(A) We are witnesses^(B) of this.

³² God has raised this Jesus to life,^(A) and we are all witnesses^(B) of it.
