^18 (A)I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, ^(B)I am alive forevermore. Amen. And ^(C)I have the keys of ^[a]Hades and of Death.

⁹ knowing that ^(A)Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.

⁸ For if we ^(A)live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. ⁹ For ^(B)to this end Christ died ^[a]and rose and lived again, that He might be ^(C)Lord of both the dead and the living.

²⁵ Therefore He is also ^(A)able to save ^[a]to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives ^(B)to make intercession for them.

The Faithful Church

⁷ “And to the ^[a]angel of the church in Philadelphia write,

‘These things says ^(A)He who is holy, ^(B)He who is true, ^(C)“He who has the key of David, ^(D)He who opens and no one shuts, and ^(E)shuts and no one opens”:

⁹ Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, ^(A)who lives forever and ever,

¹⁶ who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.

² looking unto Jesus, the ^[a]author and ^[b]finisher of our faith, ^(A)who for the joy that was set before Him ^(B)endured the cross, despising the shame, and ^(C)has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
