72 Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s son. 2 [a]May [b]he judge Your people with righteousness And [c]Your afflicted with justice. 3 [d]Let the mountains bring [e]peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness. 4 [f]May he vindicate the [g]afflicted of the people, Save the children of the needy And crush the oppressor.
5 [h]Let them fear You while the sun endures, And [i]as long as the moon, throughout all generations. 6 [j]May he come down like rain upon the mown grass, Like showers that water the earth. 7 In his days [k]may the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace till the moon is no more.
8 May he also rule from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth. 9 [l]Let the nomads of the desert bow before him, And his enemies lick the dust. 10 [m]Let the kings of Tarshish and of the [n]islands bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba offer [o]gifts. 11 [p]And let all kings bow down before him, All nations serve him.
12 For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, The [q]afflicted also, and him who has no helper. 13 He will have compassion on the poor and needy, And the [r]lives of the needy he will save. 14 He will [s]rescue their [t]life from oppression and violence, And their blood will be precious in his sight; 15 So may he live, and may the gold of Sheba be given to him; And let [u]them pray for him continually; Let [v]them bless him all day long.
16 May there be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; Its fruit will wave like the cedars ofLebanon; And may those from the city flourish like vegetation of the earth. 17 May his name endure forever; May his name [w]increase [x]as long as the sun shines; And let menbless themselves by him; Let all nations call him blessed.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders. 19 And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen.
20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
Praise for Jerusalem’s Restoration and Prosperity.
147 [a]Praise [b]the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For [c]it is pleasant and praise is becoming. 2 The Lordbuilds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. 3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their [d]wounds. 4 He counts the number of the stars; He [e]gives names to all of them. 5 Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is [f]infinite. 6 The Lord[g]supports the afflicted; He brings down the wicked to the ground.
7 Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; Sing praises to our God on the lyre, 8 Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to [h]grow on the mountains. 9 He gives to the beast its food, And to the young ravens which cry. 10 He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man. 11 The Lordfavors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His lovingkindness.
49 Listen to Me, O islands, And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called Me from the womb; From the [a]body of My mother He named Me. 2 He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me; And He has also made Me a [b]select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver. 3 He said to Me, “You are My Servant, Israel, In Whom I will [c]show My glory.” 4 But I said, “I have toiled in vain, I have spent My strength for nothing and vanity; Yet surely the justice due to Me is with the Lord, And My reward with My God.”
5 And now says the Lord, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, so that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of the Lord, And My God is My strength), 6 He says, “It is too [d]small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also make You a light [e]of the nations So that My salvation may [f]reach to the end of the earth.” 7 Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, To the despised One, To the One abhorred by the nation, To the Servant of rulers, “Kings will see and arise, Princes will also bow down, Because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.”
Revelation 21:22-27New American Standard Bible (NASB)
22 I saw no [a]temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its [b]temple.23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth [c]will bring their glory into it.25 In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;26 and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those [d]whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Matthew 12:14-21New American Standard Bible (NASB)
14 But the Pharisees went out and [a]conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.
15 But Jesus, [b]aware of this, withdrew from there. Many followed Him, and He healed them all,16 and warned them not to [c]tell who He was.17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:
18 “Behold, My[d]Servant whom I [e]have chosen; My Beloved in whom My soul[f]is well-pleased; I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He shall proclaim[g]justice to the[h]Gentiles. 19 “He will not quarrel, nor cry out; Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. 20 “A battered reed He will not break off, And a smoldering wick He will not put out, Until He[i]leads[j]justice to victory. 21 “And in His name the[k]Gentiles will hope.”
