6 (A)For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar.
34 Towards the (A)scorners he (B)is scornful, (C)but to the humble he gives favour.[a]
23 (A)One's pride will bring him low, (B)but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honour.
12 (A)Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
52 (A)he has brought down the mighty from their thrones (B)and exalted those of humble estate;
6 But (A)he gives more grace. Therefore it says, (B)“God opposes the proud, but (C)gives grace to the humble.”
5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. (A)Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility towards one another, for (B)“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
