65 You have treated Your servant well,
Lord, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good [a](A)discernment and knowledge,
For I believe in Your commandments.
67 (B)Before I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word.
68 You are (C)good and You (D)do good;
(E)Teach me Your statutes.
69 The arrogant [b]have (F)forged a lie against me;
With all my heart I will (G)comply with Your precepts.
70 Their heart is (H)insensitive, like fat,
But I (I)delight in Your Law.
71 It is (J)good for me that I was afflicted,
So that I may learn Your statutes.
72 The (K)Law of Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

For I have believed and trusted and relied on Your commandments.

Before I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep and honor Your word [with loving obedience].

You are good and do good;
Teach me Your statutes.

The arrogant have forged a lie against me,
But I will keep Your precepts with all my heart.

Their heart is insensitive like fat [their minds are dull and brutal],
But I delight in Your law.
71
It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
That I may learn Your statutes.

The law from Your mouth is better to me
Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

65 Fizeste bem ao teu servo, Senhor, segundo a tua palavra. 66 Ensina-me bom juízo e ciência, pois cri nos teus mandamentos. 67 Antes de ser afligido, andava errado; mas agora guardo a tua palavra. 68 Tu és bom e abençoador; ensina-me os teus estatutos. 69 Os soberbos forjaram mentiras contra mim; mas eu de todo o coração guardarei os teus preceitos. 70 Engrossa-se-lhes o coração como gordura, mas eu me alegro na tua lei. 71 Foi-me bom ter sido afligido, para que aprendesse os teus estatutos. 72 Melhor é para mim a lei da tua boca do que inúmeras riquezas em ouro ou prata.

68 Tu és bom, e o que fazes é bom;
ensina-me os teus decretos.
69 Os arrogantes mancharam o meu nome
com mentiras,
mas eu obedeço aos teus preceitos
de todo o coração.
70 O coração deles é insensível,
eu, porém, tenho prazer na tua lei.
71 Foi bom para mim ter sido castigado,
para que aprendesse os teus decretos.
72 Para mim vale mais a lei que decretaste
do que milhares de peças de prata e ouro.
