¹³ You have made us a reproach^(A) to our neighbors,^(B)
    the scorn^(C) and derision^(D) of those around us.

⁵¹ “We are disgraced,^(A)
    for we have been insulted
    and shame covers our faces,
because foreigners have entered
    the holy places of the Lord’s house.”^(B)

¹⁴ But Ephraim has aroused his bitter anger;
    his Lord will leave on him the guilt of his bloodshed^(A)
    and will repay him for his contempt.^(B)
