Psalm 31:8

⁸And have not ^(A)shut^[a] me up into the hand of the enemy;
^(B)You have set my feet in a wide place.

New International Version

⁸You have not given me into the hands^(A) of the enemy
but have set my feet in a spacious place.^(B)

⁹then ^(A)the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

⁹if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials^(A) and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.^(B)
