Psalm 14(A)

For the director of music. Of David.

The fool[a] says in his heart,
    “There is no God.”(B)
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile;
    there is no one who does good.

The Lord looks down from heaven(C)
    on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,(D)
    any who seek God.(E)
All have turned away,(F) all have become corrupt;(G)
    there is no one who does good,(H)
    not even one.(I)

Do all these evildoers know nothing?(J)

They devour my people(K) as though eating bread;
    they never call on the Lord.(L)
But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
    for God is present in the company of the righteous.
You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor,
    but the Lord is their refuge.(M)

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!(N)
    When the Lord restores(O) his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.

Lord, who may dwell(P) in your sacred tent?(Q)
    Who may live on your holy mountain?(R)

The one whose walk is blameless,(S)
    who does what is righteous,
    who speaks the truth(T) from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,(U)
    who does no wrong to a neighbor,
    and casts no slur on others;
who despises a vile person
    but honors(V) those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath(W) even when it hurts,
    and does not change their mind;
who lends money to the poor without interest;(X)
    who does not accept a bribe(Y) against the innocent.

Whoever does these things
    will never be shaken.(Z)

Psalm 16

A miktam[b] of David.

Keep me safe,(AA) my God,
    for in you I take refuge.(AB)

I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;(AC)
    apart from you I have no good thing.”(AD)
I say of the holy people(AE) who are in the land,(AF)
    “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
Those who run after other gods(AG) will suffer(AH) more and more.
    I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
    or take up their names(AI) on my lips.

Lord, you alone are my portion(AJ) and my cup;(AK)
    you make my lot(AL) secure.
The boundary lines(AM) have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.(AN)
I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;(AO)
    even at night(AP) my heart instructs me.
I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand,(AQ) I will not be shaken.(AR)

Therefore my heart is glad(AS) and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest secure,(AT)
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,(AU)
    nor will you let your faithful[c] one(AV) see decay.(AW)
11 You make known to me the path of life;(AX)
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,(AY)
    with eternal pleasures(AZ) at your right hand.(BA)
