⁹How can a young person stay on the path of purity?^(A)
    By living according to your word.^(B)
¹⁰I seek you with all my heart;^(C)
    do not let me stray from your commands.^(D)
¹¹I have hidden your word in my heart^(E)
    that I might not sin^(F) against you.
¹²Praise be^(G) to you, Lord;
    teach me^(H) your decrees.^(I)
¹³With my lips I recount
    all the laws that come from your mouth.^(J)
¹⁴I rejoice in following your statutes^(K)
    as one rejoices in great riches.
¹⁵I meditate on your precepts^(L)
    and consider your ways.
¹⁶I delight^(M) in your decrees;
    I will not neglect your word.

Isaiah 43:8-13

⁸Lead out those who have eyes but are blind,^(A)
    who have ears but are deaf.^(B)
⁹All the nations gather together^(C)
    and the peoples assemble.
Which of their gods foretold^(D) this
    and proclaimed to us the former things?
Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right,
    so that others may hear and say, “It is true.”

2 Corinthians 3:4-11

New International Version

⁴Such confidence^(A) we have through Christ before God. ⁵Not that we are competent in ourselves^(B) to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.^(C) ⁶He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant^(D)—not of the letter^(E) but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.^(F)

The Greater Glory of the New Covenant

⁷Now if the ministry that brought death,^(G) which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory,^(H) transitory though it was, ⁸will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? ⁹If the ministry that brought condemnation^(I) was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!^(J) ¹⁰For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. ¹¹And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!
