⁴ The Lord is in His ^(A)holy temple; the ^[a]Lord’s ^(B)throne is in heaven;
His ^(C)eyes see, His eyelids test the sons of mankind.
⁵ The Lord ^(D)tests the righteous and ^(E)the wicked,
And His soul hates one who loves violence.
⁶ He will ^(F)rain ^[b]coals of fire upon the wicked,
^(G)And brimstone and ^(H)burning wind will be the portion of ^(I)their cup.

¹⁵ The ^(A)eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears are toward their cry for help.
¹⁶ The ^(B)face of the Lord is against evildoers,
To ^(C)eliminate the memory of them from the earth.
