Psalm 127

A song of ascents. Of Solomon.

²⁶ Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.^(A) Are you not much more valuable than they?^(B)

²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.^{[a] 30} And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.^{(A) 31} So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.^(B)

¹⁴ When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them^(A) and healed their sick.^(B)

³² Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people;^(A) they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”

³⁴ When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.^(A) So he began teaching them many things.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand^(A)(B)

¹⁰ When the apostles^(C) returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida,^{(D) 11} but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God,^(E) and healed those who needed healing.
