⁹ But we see him ^(A)who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, ^(B)crowned with glory and honor ^(C)because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might ^(D)taste death ^(E)for everyone.

²⁶ Then God said, ^(A)“Let us make man^[a] in our image, ^(B)after our likeness. And ^(C)let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

¹⁶ For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he ^(A)helps the offspring of Abraham.

²⁰ He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but ^(A)was made manifest ^(B)in the last times for the sake of you ^21 (C)who through him are believers in God, ^(D)who raised him from the dead and ^(E)gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

⁷ but ^(A)emptied himself, by taking the form of a ^(B)servant,^{[a] (C)}being born in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in human form, he humbled himself by ^(D)becoming obedient to the point of death, ^(E)even death on a cross. ^9 (F)Therefore ^(G)God has ^(H)highly exalted him and bestowed on him ^(I)the name that is above every name, ¹⁰ so that at the name of Jesus ^(J)every knee should bow, ^(K)in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and ^(L)every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is ^(M)Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

^21 (A)far above ^(B)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above ^(C)every name that is named, not only in ^(D)this age but also in the one to come.
