^9 (A)Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him,
^(B)And His enemies will lick the dust.

^23 (A)Kings shall be your foster fathers,
And their queens your nursing mothers;
They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth,
And ^(B)lick up the dust of your feet.
Then you will know that I am the Lord,
^(C)For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”

¹⁷ They shall lick the ^(A)dust like a serpent;
^(B)They shall crawl from their holes like ^[a]snakes of the earth.
^(C)They shall be afraid of the Lord our God,
And shall fear because of You.

35 The ^(A)wilderness and the ^[a]wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the ^(B)desert^[b] shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
^2 (C)It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,
Even with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
The excellence of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the ^(D)glory of the Lord,
The excellency of our God.

⁶ He shall judge among the nations,
He shall fill the places with dead bodies,
^(A)He shall ^[a]execute the heads of many countries.

110 The ^(B)Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your ^(C)footstool.”
