²² For in my inner being^(A) I delight in God’s law;^(B)

¹⁵ Outside^(A) are the dogs,^(B) those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

³² Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death,^(A) they not only continue to do these very things but also approve^(B) of those who practice them.

²⁵ You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:^(A)

²⁷ Indeed Herod^(C) and Pontius Pilate^(D) met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus,^(E) whom you anointed. ²⁸ They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.^(F)

¹⁶ “What are we going to do with these men?”^(A) they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign,^(B) and we cannot deny it. ¹⁷ But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”
