⁴ Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
    break forth into joyous song and sing praises.^(A)

“Hallelujah!
Salvation and glory and power to our God,^(A)
2     for his judgments are true and just;
he has judged the great whore^[a]
    who corrupted the earth with her prostitution,
and he has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”^(B)

⁷ For thus says the Lord:
Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob,
    and raise shouts for the chief of the nations;
proclaim, give praise, and say,
    “Save, O Lord, your people,
    the remnant of Israel.”^(A)

¹² For you shall go out in joy
    and be led back in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
    shall burst into song,
    and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.^(A)

⁴⁷ Save us, O Lord our God,
    and gather us from among the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
    and glory in your praise.^(A)

⁵ God has gone up with a shout,
    the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.^(A)
