4 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress;
^[b]Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

40 I ^(B)waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
² He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of ^(C)the miry clay,
And ^(D)set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
^3 (E)He has put a new song in my mouth—
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.

^6 (A)In His days Judah will be saved,
And Israel ^(B)will dwell safely;
Now ^(C)this is His name by which He will be called:

²⁴ He shall say,
^[a]‘Surely in the Lord I have ^(A)righteousness and strength.
To Him men shall come,
And ^(B)all shall be ashamed
Who are incensed against Him.

^132 (A)Look upon me and be merciful to me,
^(B)As Your custom is toward those who love Your name.

¹⁸ They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
But the Lord was my support.
^19 (A)He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.
