    he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.

¹¹ Though they plot evil^(A) against you
    and devise wicked schemes,^(B) they cannot succeed.

²⁵ who foils^(A) the signs of false prophets
    and makes fools of diviners,^(B)
who overthrows the learning of the wise^(C)
    and turns it into nonsense,^(D)

¹² He thwarts the plans^(A) of the crafty,
    so that their hands achieve no success.^(B)
13 He catches the wise^(C) in their craftiness,^(D)
    and the schemes of the wily are swept away.^(E)

³⁰ There is no wisdom,^(A) no insight, no plan
    that can succeed against the Lord.^(B)

⁹ Raise the war cry,^[a](A) you nations, and be shattered!^(B)
    Listen, all you distant lands.
Prepare^(C) for battle, and be shattered!

¹⁰ Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted;^(D)
    propose your plan, but it will not stand,^(E)

⁴ The One enthroned^(F) in heaven laughs;^(G)
    the Lord scoffs at them.

⁸ Do not grant the wicked^(A) their desires, Lord;
    do not let their plans succeed.
