¹⁹ with which Aaron and his sons ^(A)shall wash their hands and their feet. ²⁰ When they go into the tent of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister, to burn a food offering^[a] to the Lord, they shall wash with water, so that they may not die.

The Full Assurance of Faith

^19 (A)Therefore, brothers,^[a] since we have confidence to enter ^(B)the holy places by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by ^(C)the new and living way that he opened for us through ^(D)the curtain, that is, through his flesh, ²¹ and since we have ^(E)a great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts ^(F)sprinkled clean ^(G)from an evil conscience and our bodies ^(H)washed with pure water.

⁵ he saved us, ^(A)not because of works done by us in righteousness, but ^(B)according to his own mercy, by ^(C)the washing of regeneration and ^(D)renewal of the Holy Spirit,

⁸ I desire then that ^(A)in every place the men should pray, ^(B)lifting ^(C)holy hands without anger or quarreling;

^28 (A)Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. ²⁹ For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
