⁴ He asked you for life, and you gave it to him—
    length of days, for ever and ever.^(A)

¹⁶ With long life^(A) I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.^(B)”

³ It is as if the dew^(A) of Hermon^(B)
    were falling on Mount Zion.^(C)
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,^(D)
    even life forevermore.^(E)

⁵ For you, God, have heard my vows;^(A)
    you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.^(B)

⁶ Increase the days of the king’s life,^(C)
    his years for many generations.^(D)

³⁶ that his line will continue forever
    and his throne endure before me like the sun;^(A)
37 it will be established forever like the moon,
    the faithful witness in the sky.”^(B)

²⁹ I will establish his line forever,
    his throne as long as the heavens endure.^(A)
