12 Help,^[b] Lord, for the godly man ^(B)ceases!
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.

57 The righteous perishes,
And no man takes it to heart;
^(A)Merciful men are taken away,
^(B)While no one considers
That the righteous is taken away from ^[a]evil.

5 “Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem;
See now and know;
And seek in her open places
^(A)If you can find a man,
^(B)If there is anyone who executes ^[a]judgment,
Who seeks the truth,
^(C)And I will pardon her.

^21 (A)How the faithful city has become a ^[a]harlot!
It was full of justice;
Righteousness lodged in it,
But now ^(B)murderers.
^22 (C)Your silver has become dross,
Your wine mixed with water.

¹³ In transgressing and lying against the Lord,
And departing from our God,
Speaking oppression and revolt,
Conceiving and uttering ^(A)from the heart words of falsehood.
¹⁴ Justice is turned back,
And righteousness stands afar off;
For truth is fallen in the street,
And equity cannot enter.
¹⁵ So truth fails,
And he who departs from evil makes himself a ^(B)prey.

Then the Lord saw it, and ^[a]it displeased Him
That there was no justice.

7 Woe is me!
For I am like those who gather summer fruits,
Like those who ^(A)glean vintage grapes;
There is no cluster to eat
Of the first-ripe fruit which ^(B)my soul desires.
² The ^(C)faithful^[a] man has perished from the earth,
And there is no one upright among men.
They all lie in wait for blood;
^(D)Every man hunts his brother with a net.

^5 (A)I looked, but ^(B)there was no one to help,
And I wondered
That there was no one to uphold;
Therefore My own ^(C)arm brought salvation for Me;
And My own fury, it sustained Me.
