    (E)I make the rivers a desert;
(F)their fish stink for lack of water
    and die of thirst.

“I also (A)withheld the rain from you
    when there were yet three months to the harvest;
(B)I would send rain on one city,
    and send no rain on another city;
one field would have rain,
    and the field on which it did not rain would wither;
so two or three cities (C)would wander to another city
    to drink water, and would not be satisfied;
(D)yet you did not return to me,”

And the waters of the sea will be dried up,
    and the river will be dry and parched,
and its canals will become foul,
    and the branches of Egypt's Nile will diminish and dry up,
    reeds and rushes will rot away.
There will be bare places by the Nile,
    on the brink of the Nile,

    will be driven away, and will be no more.
The (A)fishermen will mourn and lament,
    all who cast a hook in the Nile;

You shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” So he went and did according to the word of the Lord. He went and lived by the brook Cherith that is east of the Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.
