¹² Fruit trees of all kinds will grow along both sides of the river. The leaves of these trees will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit on their branches. There will be a new crop every month, for they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple. The fruit will be for food and the leaves for healing.”

²³ The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.

⁶ Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

⁶ But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died.

² It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,^[a] with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

³ Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.
